RE: chargin system?
Is your battery good and is it fully charged? Have you checked to make sure the battery cables are clean and tight? Sounds like a bad battery or a bad connection.

RE: chargin system?
Make sure the battery cables are clean and tight. If you have a bad connection, it will do what you described. If the cables are clean and tight, try jumping the two posts on top of the solenoid with an old screwdriver and see if it will start. This will bypass the internal workings of the solenoid and send power straight from the battery to the starter. If it still doesn't start, you've got a bad battery or a bad starter. You can test the starter with a set of jumper cables. Hook one end of the cables to a known good battery. I like to use a vehicle that I drive everyday so I know for sure the battery is good. At the other end of the cables, hook the ground clamp to the engine or starter housing or anywhere (except painted frame) you can get a good ground. Firmly touch the positive clamp to the post/terminal on the starter. If the starter doesn't turn, it's bad. That is, if your jumper cables are good and you have good connections with them at the battery.

RE: chargin system?
Are you saying that the starter motor turns, but it doesn't turn the engine?
