Lockstraps
Hey guys i got to do a not so planned test on my Lockstraps the other day. A friend of mine wanted to back his car into my mud pit so of course we let him, well he got high centered no real big suprise, we kinda expected it. Well we didnt think of it at the time but we had no pull straps on us. Lol OOOOPPPPSSSSS, all i could find was my 24' Lockstrap extension strap, so i said what the heck here goes the test of a lifetime. I looped the carabiner around the cars frame, the looped around reciever hitch on truck an back to car, so roughly 12' yank. We did 3 yanks on the car and it came out and the only scratch on the strap was a lil outer rub from being around the frame of he car. Here is a vid i did of use yanking with the strap.
Now take into account this strap isnt intended as a primary pulling strap, its only intended purpose is to hold down your valuables to keep them form being stolen. This was only a chance to see how much stress and tension the strap could handle and i can say it held up quite well. So i know and feel it will hold up greatly with securing your products down and keeping them safe. Atv Mud Forum |

RE: Lockstraps
Yeah, looks like they're pretty strong. I've broke the regular, small (one inch) ratchet straps trying to use them to pull another quad out of a mud hole.
