My rancher running
Well here is a vid of my rancher running after i set valves i need a new exhaust gasket, form as you can hear it in the vid it does has a leak. I got the electric shift to work all the way to 5th gear and back to nuetral, but i cannot get it to go into reverse, then the buttons quit working. So i got to figure out how fix that, but i assume the angle sensor is good if it is shifting and showing the gears in the gear indicator.

RE: My rancher running
When the angle sensor is bad, it will usually shift sometimes, but then take spells hanging in a certain gear and not shifting.

When you were trying to shift into reverse, did you have the red button pushed in and the left brake lever pulled? If so, check the reverse shift switch wire to make sure it's still plugged into the reverse shift switch. The reverse shift switch is located on the rear of the engine near the reverse lock out lever. If that wire is unplugged, it won't shift into reverse.

RE: My rancher running
rode my rancher around the yard today and through part of the mud pit, and my ES worked, so im gonna atleast for now get a battery, front wheel bearings, rear swing arm bushings and go from there.

RE: My rancher running
Good to hear. Since you're going to be riding it through a lot of mud and water, make sure you unplug all the electrical connections and put dielectric grease on them or you will end up having problems. Don't forget to put dielectric grease on your spark plug boot, too.

RE: My rancher running
rode it some more today, this evening, did good i think i have a fuel issue right now it acts like its bogging down as if it isnt getting enough fuel, so im gonna tinker with it some more. i think i ear one of the valves ticking slightly, but hard to tell between those and the exhaust leak, we set the valves and they arent near as bad as they were. Ill keep an eye on them and go form there.
